The search box reads across student ID, first name, last name, tutor class, year level and email at once, so staff type what they happen to know. Year-level searching is built in, just type yr:11 to return the cohort. Spaces behave the way people expect: jones 11 finds Jones in Year 11.
- All, Active or Left. Three tabs, defaulting to current students, so leavers stay out of the way until you want them.
- Column filters on top. Every column filters in its own right - text, number ranges and dates - so “Year 9 to 11, no NSN recorded” is a filter, not an export.
- Your last search is still there. Come back tomorrow and the box is where you left it.
Move between students without losing your place
Open a student on Attendance, click the next name, and you land on their Attendance. The record keeps the tab you were on as you move down the list — the way you actually work when you're checking the same thing for fifteen students in a row. Photos come through from your student management system, so the list is scannable by face as well as name.
Twenty screens, one student, no re-searching
The left-hand menu is the whole student in one column. What a staff member sees is set by their permissions — a careers advisor and a sickbay nurse open the same record and get different menus.
